Liberty Bank is the third largest bank in Georgia, serving over 1.5 million customers and employing more than 5,000 people. It has the largest retail network in the country, with 327 fixed branches and 100 mobile branches. Liberty Bank is responsible for distributing all pensions and social welfare payments in Georgia and has more than GEL2.8 billion in assets.
Hunnewell Partners have been involved with Liberty Bank since 2017. Irakli Rukhadze is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the other Board members are Mamuka Tsereteli, Murtaz Kikoria, Magda Magradze and Beka Gogichaishvili. The bank’s CEO is Vasil Khodeli.
Liberty Bank provides a comprehensive range of banking services for both consumers and businesses. It also provides private banker services. Since Hunnewell Partners became involved in the business, corporate lending has been introduced to the service suite. This now accounts for 20 per cent of the bank’s total loans and has delivered over GEL670 million in credit.
Liberty Bank’s CSR programme delivers a wide range of projects, such as dance classes for those aged 60+ to help them socialise, art therapy classes and free exercise programmes led in public spaces by trained fitness experts. The bank supported the Regional Youth Conference of the European Youth Parliament, where more than 100 participants worked on a specially selected topic and submitted a joint resolution to the General Assembly on behalf of Georgia.
